Tianjin Nangang is the newest of the major Chinese chemical parks (founded 2009) and the largest by approved area at 162 km². Heavy government investment positioned it as the gateway for North China chemical exports ; Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region (北京-天津-河北 industrial agglomeration) supplies the inland demand. The integrated sea-water desalination plant (200,000 m³/day capacity) is the operator-distinct feature; it's the only major Chinese park where freshwater is not a planning constraint. Three big lane-relevant points. First, the Tianjin port adjacency makes it the preferred export gateway for North China caustic, soda ash, PVC. Second, Bohua's integrated chlor-alkali complex is the largest in Northern China and the sourcing destination for North-bound caustic-soda exports. Third, the 2015 Tianjin port chemical-warehouse explosion is still a regulatory shadow ; the park's post-incident compliance regime is now the strictest in China.
