SDS draft generator
Fill in the substance frontmatter below. The tool builds a 16-section Safety Data Sheet skeleton formatted to GHS Rev. 7, EU CLP, and OSHA HCS conventions. The output is a draft template for your regulatory team to verify and complete, not a finished SDS.
Important. Read before using.
This tool produces a draft SDS skeleton. It does not produce a finished SDS. The output is missing substance-specific hazard data (toxicity values, ecotoxicity values, exposure limits, regulatory references) that the user must add from their own data and verify against the relevant authoritative sources for the jurisdiction.
Regulatory compliance for an SDS is the responsibility of the manufacturer, importer, or supplier under the applicable regulation (29 CFR 1910.1200 for OSHA HCS, Article 31 of EU REACH for EU CLP, GB/T 17519 for China, and equivalent local rules for other jurisdictions). A draft from this tool is not a substitute for that responsibility.
Do not ship a chemical with an SDS prepared from this tool until a qualified regulatory professional has reviewed and finalised the document. This tool does not provide legal advice.
What this tool does and does not do
Does: Produce a 16-section SDS skeleton with the standard GHS section structure, the reference frontmatter populated from your input, and the placeholder labels for jurisdiction-specific regulatory references (TSCA / REACH / IECSC / AICIS / GB/T 17519). Useful as a starting template.
Does not: Provide substance-specific hazard data (Section 2 hazard classification, Section 4 first aid, Section 8 exposure limits, Section 11 toxicology, Section 12 ecotoxicology, Section 14 transport details). Provide regulatory advice. Generate an SDS that is ready to ship with a chemical cargo. Replace the work of a qualified regulatory professional.
Need a finished SDS for a Chinese-origin shipment?
We handle the documentation chain.
Our Shanghai team works with Chinese factories on bilingual SDS preparation per GB/T 17519 plus destination-jurisdiction CLP / OSHA HCS / AICIS conventions. SDS reviewed and finalised before cargo loads.
